Dear Reader,
This issue of the eNewsletter is short and
sweet, with some timely information you won't want to miss.
One of us is out of town and one is busy with kids in
school (guess which is which!) so there will be no eNewsletter
next week. Look for another one shortly after that.

CBT Volunteers Hold Community
Cleanup
The Cincinnati Black
Theater Company sent this photo of three enterprising
young volunteers who participated at its Community Cleanup
last Saturday. Ticketholders may recognize
Garrison (right) who has acted and danced in several CBT
productions. Thanks to all the CBT volunteers who
worked to make the area look better! Thanks to Phillip Casey for this
story and
photo. |

Rhythm Race Coming Up!
There's plenty of time to register for the Sept. 20
College Hill Rhythm
Race. Last year 275 runners and walkers
participated -- let's make that number even bigger! Enjoy an
evening race through the tree-lined streets of College Hill to
benefit the College Hill Urban Redevelopment Corporation and
pay the salary of College Hill's Director of Development who
works so hard for us all. The fee to run, walk, or
participate in a wheelchair is $25 -- $20 if you register here before Sept.
12. Same-day registration begins at 5:30 pm at Pleasant Hill
Academy; race at 7 pm. The After Party in Pleasant
Hill's parking lot will be FREE, but all donations to CHCURC
will be gratefully accepted. Don't miss a great race AND a
great party!

Arts Classes Begin Soon
Classes begin this month at The Contemporary Dance
Theater, St. Theresa
Textile Trove, and LaBoiteaux Woods. All three
offer great opportunities to take classes from top teachers at
affordable prices. Bead and fabric
and fiber fabric and fiber
classes begin soon at St. Theresa's on Hamilton Avenue. There
is something for every interest and ability level. Dance classes at
CDT (College Hill Town Hall, Larch Avenue) begin September 8.
Classes in many different styles are available for adults and
older teens, two 6-week sessions in creative dance are offered
for children 4 to 8, and a new class in hip hop for children
and teens will be offered Thursday evenings. Nature art
classes for children at LaBoiteaux Woods begin this month. A
new teacher will continue the popular classes kids have loved
for years. This year a new class for homeschoolers debuts.
Sorry, computer savvy folks -- you have to get information the
old-fashioned way! Call

The eNewsletter is published every week or two by
the volunteers listed below. Our purpose is to help make
College Hill an even better place to live, play and do
business by publishing a broad spectrum of news for and about
College Hill, with an emphasis on stories of College Hill
people working together to improve our community.
The eNewsletter is
independently prepared and published by neighborhood
volunteers. It is not affiliated with the College Hill
Forum Community Council.
Opinions expressed here are not necessarily those of any
College Hill or other organization--or even of the editor. The
inclusion of an article is not necessarily an endorsement. The
fact that something isn't in the eNewsletter is not
necessarily a lack of endorsement--it's most likely because no
one told us about it.
eNewsletter photos are often edited to remove
extraneous material.
Send us news that you think would be interesting to your
College Hill neighbors--and we'll very likely publish it.
