The eNewsletter is published every week or two by the volunteers listed below, under the auspices of the College Hill Forum.

Our purpose is to help make College Hill an even better place to live, play and do business by telling the story of our diverse and neighborly community to anyone with an interest in College Hill. We publish a broad spectrum of news with an emphasis on stories of College Hill people working together to improve our community.

Send us interesting tidbits--anything that you think would be interesting to your College Hill neighbors-- and we'll very likely publish them.

Dear Subscriber,

This past week seemed to be "College Hill in the Enquirer" week. The Enquirer ran three articles about College Hill institutions: one about a well-established business on The Avenue, another about a newly-arrived addition to The Avenue and one about a very special school.

What all these organizations have in common is that they draw their constituents not only from our community, but also from all over the greater Cincinnati area and beyond. They illustrate the value of College Hill's central location--"Twenty minutes from everywhere."

Don't forget that you can click on "Forward this eNewsletter to a Friend" at the bottom of this page to send a copy to others who might like to get news about College Hill. The copy they receive will have a link they can use to get their own subscriptions.

Jeweler Sandy Schwartz Featured in Enquirer Article
Sandy Schwartz

Sandy Schwartz, president of Schwartz Jewelers, one of College Hill's premier businesses, was featured in a recent Enquirer article.

The article quotes Sandy, "We are part of people's most significant moments: engagement, marriage, birth of children, anniversaries. It's very satisfying to make so many long-term connections."

It's those long-term connections that keep people coming back to Schwartz Jewelers from all over the Greater Cincinnati area.

Enquirer Features Textile Trove

"The owner of St. Theresa Textile Trove is hoping a new incarnation in a new location will work miracles for her bottom line after years of struggling to turn a profit in Over-The-Rhine." So states a very complete article in a recent Enquirer edition.

McAuley Educators Participate In Ireland Forum

The Enquirer also carried an article about three McAuley teachers who represented College Hill at the Mercy Secondary Education International Forum in Malahide, Ireland in July.

Church-a-Palooza Scouts

Sarah Mann shared these pictures of the Church-a- Palooza concert held on the grounds of First United Church of Christ a couple of weekends ago. It looks like the folks who attended had a lot to enjoy.

Of the event, Pastor Dan Weyand-Geise said, "For a first time event, we were pleased with the turnout. We cleared nearly $2,000 for the Mission Priority Boards and had more than 300 in attendance."

Buy Beads, Decorate College Hill

Amy Wallace, manager of the newly arrived St. Theresa Textile Trove, will be doing a solo-show fundraiser at College Hill Coffee Company on Friday Sept 15 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm to raise funds for the College Hill Business Association project to paint murals on empty storefront windows.
