Are You Ready to Run? Ready to Walk? Next Friday's Rhythm Race
Wouldn't Be the Same Without You |
|
The Rhythm Race Committee is taking it to the streets! Of
College Hill, that is. Everyone’s invited to join family,
friends and neighbors in the second annual College Hill Rhythm
Race next Friday, September 16, starting at the intersection
of Hamilton and North Bend. Former mayor Roxanne Qualls will
join us, as will the two winners of Tuesday's mayoral primary.
Plus music, food, fun, kids and community.
It’s easy to sign up to run or walk. You save $5 by
pre-registering -- just $15 for race entry and after- race
Celebration Party admission. Plus, pre- registration
guarantees you a Rhythm Race T-shirt (in the right size). To
get a printable registration form,
click here. To register on-line, go to the web
site of our race coordinator, Steve Prescott. Or you can
pick up a registration form at most any of our College Hill
places of business.
You can register on Race Day, Friday September 16 at 6:00
PM at Hamilton and North Bend in the old Shullers Wigwam lot.
It’ll be $20 and you’re taking a chance on T-shirts still
being available in your size, but last-minute participants are
always welcome.
Remember: Registration is at 6:00 PM; Race is at 7:00 PM,
Kids’ Fun Run and Celebration Party follows. Tickets for the
party only are available at the event for $10 adults 17+, $5
kids 3-16, FREE 2 and under.

PNC Bank Executives Present $5,000 Check For Rhythm Race Title
Sponsorship |
|
In this photo taken at the College Hill Coffee Co., Tina
Stoeberl, center, of the Rhythm Race Committee, accepts a
$5,000 check from David Pendl, PNC Regional Manager, and Rea
Waldon, PhD, PNC Community Consultant.
This leadership gift from the community's long-time friends
at PNC Bank enabled planning for the 2005 College Hill Rhythm
Race to get off to a quick start. With PNC stepping up early
on and leading the way, the second annual College Hill Rhythm
Race is well on its way to being a record-breaking fund raiser
for College Hill's community redevelopment effort.
More good news: Two more gold-level sponsors have signed
up. Hodapp's Funeral Home and Kroger have joined this group of
leading contributors whose logos are shown in the left-hand
column.
More than 60 local sponsors have lent their financial
support to this year’s Rhythm Race – now it’s your turn to
step up and step out – onto the streets of College Hill.
