D’etre – “Reason for Being” – and reason enough to be here!
Three women who know their reason for being are coming to share
their pure Kentucky blend (as in vocal.) RAISON D'ETRE, the
award-winning folk trio from Northern Kentucky, will add a little
jive to your java as they perform original tunes, a cappella swing,
and covers of song writers like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Jesse
Winchester, and Dolly Parton. Their sound has been described by
CITYBEAT as "some of the best three-part harmony singing you'll
likely ever hear." Violet Rae, Vickie and Roberta back themselves
on guitar, banjo, keyboard, and six-string mandolin for an evening
of swinging country folk. They pack the house – better come early!

Greg and Craig are back!
Greg
and Craig bill
themselves as “oldies playing oldies.” In fact, they are
young-at-heart 50-something musicians who grew up with the Beatles,
Motown, British Invasion, and country tunes from the 60's and 70's.
Some of these tunes are kept alive through G and C's
acoustic-guitar-with-percussion renditions. Greg performed in rock
bands in the Oxford and Cincy area during his Miami University
days. He and Craig met through their church's Praise Band. They’ll
give you’re their take on Elvis, Johnny Cash, Marvin Gaye, Hank
Williams and many more favorites.

Those Guys
As always
they'll be rolling out some new tunes so those of you who've been so
loyal won't just hear the same old stuff. Mike got a new
Rickenbacker 12-String for Christmas so they’re anxious to hear how
it sounds in the mix. Some of the Bryds tunes and others may sound a
wee bit more like the originals.
They always pack the house and create
a lively night of entertainment -- great tunes from the 60s, 70s and
80s, and back with the memories, the harmonies and the fun of your
favorite decades.
Garlic Mustard Pulling Party

Greg Harper: Folk and
Craic
We’re lucky to have Greg – as regular customer AND performer! Greg’s
concert will feature original music, traditional /contemporary
acoustic music, including songs by: Robt. Burns, Leonard Cohen,
Dylan, Egge, Foster, Kinks, Kristofferson, Lanois, Lightfoot, Old
Blind Dogs, Prine, Reader, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel, Jerry
Jeff Walker and much more. His
choice of songs, whether ancient, original or recently released, has
always been about human connection in the most universal sense.
Hear Celtic ballads woven in with the modern-day mainstays of the
folk tradition. And, if the feeling’s right, he won’t hesitate to
throw in a bit of Cole Porter or Dean Martin as well.
